• We are delighted to provide sponsorships for AIDA Conference 2023, however these are limited and not guaranteed to all applicants. 

• AIDA sponsorships will be prioritised for members attending to receive their graduation or Fellowship stethoscopes, subsequent sponsorships will be allocated through the selection process.

• If you are not expecting to receive a stethoscope, please prioritise other funding opportunities including:
• Funding opportunities through your university or college, workplace or supporting community organisations. 
• Letters of support can be provided by AIDA when requesting funding from these sources.

• To apply for sponsorship, you must be a current AIDA member and able to take leave from your university or employer. 

• Applicants attending conference to receive a stethoscope will be required to provide proof of graduation or Fellowship.

HOW TO APPLY FOR SPONSORSHIP

1. Apply for funding via the link on this page. You will be asked to create an account to apply, this is different than your AIDA member portal login.
2. The application will ask you to provide a 250-word statement. This should include how attending conference will assist with your studies and professional development, contribute to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, and support or encourage your future work aspirations.
3. Remember to upload any documents that are required such as leave approval confirmation, graduation or Fellowship certificate. If you have not recently graduated or Fellowed, provide proof of enrolment in your current program.
4. Applications will be assessed and short-listed, then progress in the selection process for approval. 
5. Successful applicants will have all costs and arrangements covered by AIDA including return flights to Hobart, ground transfers in Hobart, accommodation, and Conference registration. 
6. Next, register to attend Conference using this link. 
7. You will be asked for card details to secure your room, but you will not be charged. When you reach the payment section, select ‘Pay Later’.
