Australian Indigenous Doctors' Association

AIDA’s purpose is to grow ethical and professional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander doctors who will lead and drive equitable and just health outcomes for all our peoples.

Vision: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have self-determination and equitable health and life outcomes in a culturally safe health system.

Values: Our values are: Integrity, Respect, Professionalism, Excellence, Accountability, Reciprocity.

Eligibility: To be eligible for membership with AIDA, an individual or organisation is required to be nominated by a current Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander doctor or medical student who is a member of AIDA.

We acknowledge and pay our respects to the Kaurna people, the traditional custodians whose ancestral lands we will gather on.
We acknowledge and respect the Kaurna people’s cultural, spiritual, physical and emotional connection with their land, waters and community. We pay respect to elders both past and present. 
We extend that respect to other First Nations People and their Indigenous lands across the globe.
