This social function will be held outdoors. As the South Australian weather can be unpredictable, please bring a jacket.

Children (5 - 12 years old) tickets can be purchased seperately in the Registration Portal at $41.00 per child, per Social Function.
Those booking additional social function tickets for a guest who is attending the full guest program (catering breaks, all social functions and Connection to Country Day), please be mindful that 1 x ticket to each social function is already included in the Full Attending Guest registration fee.

Aaron Pedersen is best known for his performance in the leading role of ‘Detective JaySwan’ in the television series Mystery Road opposite Judy Davis, for which he won anAACTA International Award for Best Actor in a Series.
Aaron first created the role of ‘Detective Swan’ in the highly acclaimed feature filmsMystery Road, opposite Hugo Weaving and Goldstone, opposite Jackie Weaver, bothdirected by Ivan Sen. Other notable film credits include High Ground, Dirt Music, Backto the Outback, and The Fear of Darkness.
Aaron’s work in television includes Total Control opposite Deborah Mailman andRachel Griffiths, The Gloaming, The Code, East West 101, A Place to Call Home aswell as his role of ‘Drew Ellis’ in The Circuit for which he received a Most OutstandingActor Logie nomination. He is also well known for the role of ‘Cam Delray’ in threeseries of Jack Irish, opposite Guy Pearce.
On-stage, Aaron has performed for Australia’s major theatre companies, includingSigns of Life and The Club (STC), The Accidental Death of an Anarchist (Black Swan),King Lear (MTC), as well as Eating with Your Eyes Closed (Queensland Theatre).
Aaron’s MC duties include the Melbourne Indigenous Arts Festival, Carers AustralianGala Dinner, Bachelor Institute of Indigenous Education Awards, Indigenous LiteracyEducation Forum and the NSW Land Council 25th Anniversary Silver Ball. He hasbeen the host of the Black Nite Film Festival since 2009, co-host of the 2011 DeadlyAwards and the NITV live broadcast of 2012 Yalukit Willam Ngargee Festival. Guestspeaker roles include, Jobs Australia Conference , Careers Week Victoria and the RedCross Youth Delegation Week.
DEM MOB formed in the APY lands in the community of Pukatja. They are the first hip hop groupfrom the region, and the first MC's to rap in Pitjantjatjara . DEM MOB’s mission is to empower youthwith our own culture through music. Starting as a engagement idea to get youngest member, Jontae,attending school to , DEM MOB morphed into a vehicle for Jontae to make sense of mainstreamcurriculum with the other two members of DEM MOB, Matt and Elisha, working as his teachers;creatively bending curriculum around Jontae's passion for music, resulting in Jontae becoming thefirst and only male to achieve SACE on country in Pukatja.
Since then, DEM MOB continue to push their potential in the music industry while keeping true totheir roots by continuing to engage in educational programs and lobbying for educational reform forat-risk First Nation's youth. The act lights the way for First nations youth and educates mainstreamAustralians on First nations issues. 2023 was a breakout year coming off their last single 'Still NoJustice', the group released their next single "Soul of the Lion' the night they performed to a packedWOMAD crowd, turning heads from punters and music industry folk alike.
The group has recently taken their message abroad with performances and a panel presentation atBarcelona's Primavera sound alongside Kendrick Lamar, Skrillex and Blur, which followed with aninvite to Bigsound '23 after being scouted at the festival in Spain.
DEM MOB have since been invited to further international touring in 2024 with shows in New York, Toronto, Seattle, Detroit and othercities in the USA and Canada. DEM MOB have been recognised in SA as they just cleaned up with 5 awards at the South AustralianMusic Awards, including best Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Artist, Best Hip hop, Best MusicEducators and the Emily Burrows Award. With the Advertiser recently naming the group as part ofthe '24 South Australian's to watch in 2024'.

Star of NITV documentary “Black Divaz” and the inaugural Miss First Nations 2017!Josie Baker, drag persona of performance artist Joseph Cardona, appeared in NITV’s documentary Black Divaz and took out the crown in the inaugural Miss First Nations 2017 competing against Australia’s best Indigenous drag queens. Joseph has been performing drag since 2004 and is passionate about mentoring Indigenous youth.
Meet Estelle, the striking alter ego of professional dancer Kaine Sultan-Babij and resident Diva at Mary's Poppin. Described by The Australian as “long, lithe, and poised,” Estelle is this year’s breakout star. With standout performances at Adelaide Cabaret Festival, FabAlice, Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, WOMAD, and Amazon Prime TV, Estelle is captivating audiences everywhere.
Their one-person show, Sovereign Sequins, is packed with heart and soul, proving Estelle is a force to be reckoned with in the world of drag.
Tilly Tjala Thomas is a Nukunu singer-songwriter, who grew up on the Fleurieu Peninsula,South of Adelaide. Since finishing school in 2020, the electronic pop and indie musician hasbagged numerous industry accolades, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait IslanderMusician of the Year, NIMA Unearthed Award at the 2021 National Indigenous MusicAwards and the Emily Burrows Award at the 2021 South Australian Music Awards.Tilly was awarded the Stigwood Artist Fellowship (2022) and released her first EP,Sanctuary.
