Timeframes for Presentations

ORAL PRESENTATIONS
Oral Presentations are assigned 20 minutes in the program (15 minutes for presenting, followed by 5 minutes Q&A). You can see the current version of the program on this webpage

THE QUICK AND THE DEADLY PRESENTATIONS  
The Quick and The Deadly Presentations will consist of 20 slides, 20 seconds each, Pecha Kucha style. It’s non-stop and you've got 400 seconds to tell your story, with visuals guiding the way. You'll be judged by an esteemed panel of peers on time adherence, content, clarity and creativity. Prizes will be awarded!

POWERPOINT DECK PREPARATION
Presenters are welcome to create their presentation deck using their own branded slides, or can opt to utilise the PRIDoC branded slide deck found here. 

Please follow these guidelines when preparing your PowerPoint deck:
  • Ensure it is in 16:9 format
  • Minimum size font 18 point
  • Avoid colours that are hard to read such as brown, yellow and white font on light backgrounds or extreme contrasts

UPLOAD YOUR PRESENTATION DECK 
All PowerPoint presentations must be uploaded prior to the congress,. Please upload your presentation by Monday, 25 November 2024. Please label your file name: Day of Presentation – Room (if known) – Time – Full Presenter Name.

To avoid any risks, ensure you also bring a copy of your presentation with you on a USB. 

AUDIO VISUAL REQUIREMENTS
The following audio-visual aids will be available for your presentation:
  • Lectern and microphone
  • Projector and screen
  • Presenter remote

SPEAKER SUPPORT SPACE 
Prior to your presentation, please see the Speaker Support Room the morning of your presentation. This space will be located next to the Registration Desk in the lobby outside of the Exhibition Hall. Please see staff if you have trouble locating the space. 

Where possible, please arrive to your allocated session room 10 minutes prior to the start of the session and make yourself known to the chairperson.  The chairperson will make sure you are familiar with the AV equipment prior to the session commencing.

The Speaker Support Space will be open from 7AM - 5PM from the 3rd to the 6th of December. 

PRESENTATION WITHDRAWALS
Should you wish to withdraw your abstract, please email conference@aomevents.com. All withdrawals must be provided in writing to All Occasions Group by Friday, 1 November 2024.

SPEAKER REGISTRATION 
All presenters are required to register before the deadline of Friday, 26 July 2024. 

Information for Poster Presenters

POSTER GUIDELINES
  • Poster size is A0 portrait orientation (841mm wide x 1189mm high)
  • Poster presenters are responsible for the printing of their poster/s
  • Velcro dots will be available at the registration desk for collection
  • You must attach your poster to your allocated board on Monday, 2 December 2024
  • Presenters must collect their poster by 3:30PM on Friday, 6 December 2024 to avoid the disposal of their poster.

POSTER PRESENTATION TIME AND DISPLAY 
Posters will be on display in Hall D for the entirety of PRIDoC 2024, with dedicated poster sessions being held throughout the program. Check the program for your allocated hour to monitor your poster and be available for delegates to speak to you about the content. Poster board numbers are allocated, please be sure to hang your poster on the correct space.
