NOMINATIONS FOR THE 2025 AIDA AWARDS ARE NOW OPEN

Since 2015, the AIDA Awards have been recognising the contribution our members make to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.

This year, we call on nominations to the following categories to celebrate the incredible work of our members.

  • Indigenous Medical Student of the Year - Open to Indigenous Medical Student Members
  • Indigenous Doctor of the Year - Open to Indigenous Medical Doctors: Fellow/Non-Fellow Members
  • Associate Member of the Year - Open to Associate Individual/Individual Student or Associate Organisation Members

Please read and make yourself familiar with the AIDA Awards Framework which contains information about eligibility, nomination criteria, the nomination and judging process and the key dates for the awards.

Anyone can submit a nomination (you do not need to be an AIDA member to nominate someone).  

A nominee must be a current AIDA member with a minimum of 12 months existing membership. 

Members who hold a position on the AIDA Board, Secretariat or Student Representative Committee are ineligible for nomination, or to nominate.

The 2025 Awards will be presented at the AIDA 2025 Conference Gala Dinner on Saturday 29 November. 

Nominations open 29 July. 

Nominations close 21 September.
