WORKSHOP abstractS

All submissions must adhere to the AIDA 2025 Conference Abstract Submission Guidelines as outlined on the respective webpage, and must follow the Appropriate Language and Terminology Guide in order to be considered.

This page goes into detail on the additional and specific guidelines and requirements relating to the following presentation types:

  • Interactive Workshop held as a 1-hour or 2-hour format workshop on Friday or Saturday, as part of the concurrent streams

  • Post-Conference Workshop held as full or half day format after the conference dates, at the cost of the host

We want to hear from bodies and organisations who are leading in their work, and anyone who is working to improve the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, and health workforce - to challenge the future. We encourage workshops to be aimed at different career levels: medical students, junior doctors, registrars or medical specialists, and must indicate a target audience on submission.

Workshops can be submitted as:

  • Educational/discussion – Interactive guided discussions and working through theory-based activities in small to medium-sized groups.
  • Clinical/procedural skills – Hands on activities where attendees will learn new skills.
  • Wellness activity – Activities that allow participants to reconnect with mind, body and spirit through practices that promote relaxation, balance and overall wellbeing.

There are a limited number of spaces available in the program for a variety of presentation types. Sessions will run concurrently across 3-4 streams.

Abstracts can be submitted for Workshop sessions in either a 1-hour or 2-hour format.

Post-Conference Workshops may be negotiated and are still required to submit an abstract. Those submitting a Post-Conference Workshop abstract can elect a full or half day format. AIDA does NOT cover the venue, audio visual or catering costs associated with Post-Conference Workshops.

If you have any questions regarding your abstract or the Guidelines, please contact the AIDA Event Team via email at conference@aida.org.au.
