RACP Sponsorship

The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) is offering sponsored opportunities for RACP trainees and Fellows to attend AIDA’s annual conference in 2025. Please contact the RACP via email to deadlydoctors@racp.edu.au for further information. 


Queensland Health

Queensland Health is offering sponsorship for 5x Post Graduate Year 2 and 3 Junior Medical Officers to attend the AIDA 2025 Conference. Applicants must be based in Queensland and a current financial member of AIDA. 

We encourage all eligible JMOs to apply for this valuable opportunity to engage with fellow First Nations medical professionals and advance your career.


To be eligible for these opportunities, you must:
  • Be an AIDA member
  • Be a PGY2 or PGY3
  • Be based in Queensland
  • Apply before 8 August 2025 

The sponsorship will cover the following expenses:

  • Accommodation for 4 nights (from 26-30 November)
  • Return flights to Sydney from your nearest major airport
  • Ground transfers in Sydney (airport to hotel, return)
  • Full conference registration 

 Application Process

If you wish to apply for this funding, please follow the steps below:

  1. Apply for funding via the provided link.
    • You will need to create a new account to apply; this is different from your AIDA member portal login.
    • Set up your account and complete the two step process in full.
  2. Provide necessary details.
    • You will be asked to provide card details to assist us in booking your room if your application is successful. No money will be taken from this card – it is a guarantee only and will be provided to the hotel to cover additional nights and incidental charges.
  3. Complete the application.
    • Submit a 250-word statement and other required documents, such as leave approval confirmation and your graduation certificate. If you have not recently graduated, you must provide proof of enrolment in your current program.
  4. Application assessment.
    • Applications will be assessed and shortlisted, and successful candidates will progress in the selection process for approval.
    • Funding is not guaranteed to all applicants.
